Where have you been?

Dear Blog, I am sorry I have not written in a while. Let's just say, this is a summer that will never be forgotten. I've missed you and I'm sure you have missed me, so let's move forward and I will tell you all about the summer some other time. :)

I am now onto my forth class in the program and it is called Internet Learning Resources. I am very excited about this course because I feel that I need probably the most work on this topic than any of the others we have encountered thus far. However, I say that with great reservations as I am also trying to catch up on work from the previous course, so I am working simultaneously on projects from two different courses.

As stated in one of the classes, this program is teaching so much more than I ever expected to go. I was overly confident when we started the cohort, but am now realizing that my knowledge of the internet was just scratching the surface. I know it is a little cliche to say, but feel that the more courses I take the more I realize how much I do not know about the internet and it's possibilities.

  1. Josh, I have no idea what your family has been going through this summer, but I am glad to hear you all are doing well and pushing through. I agree with you in that this program is teaching so much useful and beneficial information. Can you imagine how much more we could cover if the courses were a semester long? I don't know if that would be a good or bad thing! I feel so overwhelmed at times as it is! This class has opened my eyes to NoodleTools and Google Alerts, and I can't wait to see what the next two classes bring.

  2. Josh, I'm sure you will be greatly relieved when you are caught up and have all of the loose ends tied up from the previous courses. Hang in there. That will happen soon. I must compliment you on your writing. You write well and your style is enjoyable to read.

  3. Hi Josh - I've been keeping your family in my prayers & hoping you guys are able to get things back in order again soon. I've also had more than usual on my plate lately (completely diff circumstances than your situation but busy/stressful nonetheless) so I understand the concern about feeling overwhelmed and wondering how it is all going to get completed. I feel like I'm hardly threading water with what I have on my plate on with Stritch classes, kids, preparing for workshops & the start of school, etc, and it makes me feel anxious wondering how I'm going to make it all work when I add in 40+ hours of work when the school year starts shortly. Oh boy...It always gets done, right? Learning about neat tools that can be applied to the classroom makes the stress of wondering how it will all get done all worth it! :)
